Government of India could ban PUBG due over Nation Security Concerns
India recently bans 59 Chinese application because of alleged security concerns. Meanwhile, Today New Delhi revealed 275 More application that could possibly be going to ban in India. Therefore, Government concerns and checking in-depth those applications and services for any possible violation of User privacy and national security.
“Some of these apps have been red-flagged due to security reasons while others have been listed for violation of data sharing and privacy concerns,” GOI
The 275 list of application includes PUBG, Zili (By Xiaomi), AliExpress (By Alibaba) and Resso (By ByteDance, Developer of TikTok). According to reports, Patch from ET “The government may ban all, some or none from the list. Some of these apps have been red-flagged due to security reasons while others have been listed for violation of data sharing and privacy concerns”. PUBG was likely to hold by Tencent Gaming, notably china’s most valuable internet service company followed by Alibaba and ByteDance.
“There is a process … there is a committee in place for such ban orders. If there is such an order, then MeitY will act”, MeitY
The list prepared includes 14 Popular application from Xiaomi, moreover, the list continues with Meitu, LBE Tech, Perfect Corp, Sina Corp, Netease Games and more. The list also continues with Chinese investment that includes the Helsinki, Supercell and other games that have a majority stake occupy by Tencent. Currently, Home Minister of India doesn’t (Spokesperson) respond as of now but MeiY (Ministry of Electronics and information technology will act accordingly.
